Weaning & allergy prevention
The two most powerful, evidence-based ways to reduce your child's risk of food allergy: the best possible eczema control, and timely introduction of common allergens.
Why early introduction matters
Landmark research — much of it led by our own team — has shown that introducing common allergens such as peanut and egg early and regularly, rather than delaying them, can substantially reduce the chance of developing an allergy. We help families do this safely, especially where there is eczema or an existing allergy in the family.
Eczema control comes first
Severe, weeping or infected eczema — particularly on exposed skin — is strongly associated with the development of food allergy. Early, proactive skin treatment is one of the most important steps you can take.
A plan tailored to your child
We provide individualised weaning guidance that takes account of your child's eczema, any existing allergies, and family history — so introduction is both safe and effective.
