Treatment
Allergy treatment & immunotherapy
Beyond avoidance — evidence-based treatment to build protection against accidental exposure and reduce airborne-allergy symptoms over time.
Oral Immunotherapy (OIT)
We run one of the largest OIT services in the UK and Europe. OIT gradually and carefully increases the amount of an allergen your child can tolerate — for peanut, cashew and pistachio, walnut, sesame and more — building meaningful "bite protection" against accidental exposure. Dosing is initiated and escalated in clinic, with maintenance taken at home under a clear written plan and adrenaline auto-injector cover.
Immunotherapy for pollen & house-dust mite (SLIT / SCIT)
Sublingual and subcutaneous immunotherapy can reduce hayfever and airborne-allergy symptoms over time, and may help children whose allergic rhinitis affects sleep, school and quality of life.
Shared decision-making
OIT carries a higher risk of mild-to-moderate reactions than strict avoidance and requires commitment. We discuss the benefits, risks and day-to-day practicalities in detail before starting, supported by allergists, specialist nurses, dietitians and psychologists.
